GLASS RATS hatched out of open mic love betweentwo berkelian, pinoy, aquarians.
If PJ Harvey, Portishead, and the White Stripes had an orgy while listening to
'80 post punk pop and spawned a couple of reasonably attractive fraternal twins,
that would be f-cking amazing. It would also sound like the GLASS RATS.

understated sensuality.."-The New York Times

sound like standards--instant classics...One of New York's finest
talents." -Boston Globe
The TJ Adams Trio
TJ Adams is a relative newcomer to the New York music scene. While he
has been writing music and songs for nearly 20 years, he began
performing music in New York about a year ago, looking to showcase the
material he accumulated over the years by himself and in collaboration
with a collection of talented friends and musicians. His music
combines insightful lyrics and catchy, accessible tunes, reminiscent
of REM, Ryan Adams (no relation) and Neil Young. Mixing humor and
emotion, his songs tells stories about relationships, friends, lovers,
and memories, good and bad.
Over the past year, TJ has been playing some of the legendary downtown
New York music venues, such as the Bitter End, Arlene's Grocery, Paddy
Reilly's and Cafe Vivaldi. He'll be accompanied by a winning mix of
youth and experience: the wonderful and generous Frank Christian, a
New York guitar legend, and the talented singer Chae Brown, who brings
a soulful sensibility to the songs. Chae will be leaving shortly for
California, so this show will be part of her farewell tour, for now at
least.
TJ recently recorded an EP, "These Are the Rules", with Frank and Chae
which is now available on iTunes. For more information visit www.myspace.com/tjadams3

This wonderful singer songwriter has come to the U.S. by way of Chicago and NY and
we're happy to welcome her to our venue.
ANN SCOTT - Nominated in the best female category for the 2005 and 2007 Irish Meteor Awards, Ann Scott has developed a reputation as an intense performer and firebrand songwriter. Her debut album Poor Horse was voted into the Hotpress musicians' poll of Ireland's top 100 albums ever, while her second album We're Smiling has met with hearty critical acclaim and a growing number of fresh converts. Experimenting with unusual melodies, ideas and lyrics, Scott's musical armoury consists of a range of left-field guitars, newfangled synths, detuned mandolas and some quirky ideas on how to go about playing them. A prolific writer and busy performer, Scott has shared the stage with artists as diverse as Blondie and Fairport Convention, slogging hard on the live circuit between Ireland and the UK. As a vocalist she is in frequent demand, during the past year alone singing on records for Kila, David Kitt and Mark Geary, with whom she dueted for movies such as Loggerheads and Steel City.In 2005 her electronic collaboration for the Earsugar Jukebox Label under the guise of Cracklebox received a gracious welcome in the UK garnering plays and praise on XFM, BBC1 and BBC 6. Scotts trump card however lies undoubtedly in her own work and in her instantly identifiable voice. With this her second album, her own independent label, and the growing acclaim of fans and peers alike, Scott continues to redefine and challenge herself as one of Ireland's most original creative voices.
